The Little Lambs Home

A home for AIDS orphans in Nakuru, Kenya, was the brainchild of AIDS organization PlanetPoz director Steve Garrett. Supplemented by the net proceeds of Richard Brodsky's 2004 World AIDS Marathon - not coincidentally held in Kenya in December, 2004 - groundbreaking for this 50-bed home took place in March, 2005. This home for children who have lost their parents to AIDS, or may have AIDS themselves, provides not just food, housing and education, but through its adult-staffed vegetable gardens and crafts tables, self-sufficiency for its community. PlanetPoz and the Richard M. Brodsky Foundation, both of which are 501 (c) 3 charities, hope to fund many other such homes for as long as they are needed.
